The National Agency for Energy Regulation already has an opinion regarding Moldovagaz’s request to increase the price of natural gas with 14%. The Agency will have a meeting by the end of the week to discuss the issue of gas prices.

Besides, during the meeting will be analyzed other problems, such as the production and distribution tariffs for electricity produced by CET1 and CET2 or the price of heat provided by CET-Nord and Termocom.

Previously, Moldovagaz requested NAER to update the tariffs for the gas distributed to domestic users. Moldovagaz proposed to increase the price with 14%, from 3542 lei to 4042 lei for 1.000 cube meters.

It argued the request with the mark-up of imported gas in the second trimester of 2010, the fluctuation of national currency course, the rise of gas networks maintenance and service expenditure, caused by the increase of the minimum salary in real sector, and the financial losses from the first trimester.
