The ministry of justice refused to register the Civic Association “Noua Drepta” (“New Right”), created on October 1st 2009, due the information according to which one of the association founders would have some relations with a similar formation in Romania which promotes xenophobia and extremism. The Association has applied the registration document at the Ministry of Justice on February 18th, but the ministry found that some documents were missing, and therefore refused to register the association. According to ministry’s press communicate, the main refusal reason was the information which leaked to the press lately, according to which it would be linked to the extremist and xenophobic Romanian organization.
